W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre
The W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre indoor skating arena offers a variety of indoor skating recreation programming all! Available activities can be found below.
Please be sure to check in with customer service upon arrival at the W.J. Henderson Recreation Center for recreation activities.

|
Just what it says! Come and skate for two dollars! Remember when you could get a meal at Kentucky Fried Chicken for two dollars on Tuesdays? Those days may be long gone but you can still skate at Loyalist for two dollars on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

|
A non-contact pickup game of ice hockey. Shinny is not intended for organized teams.

Skating and Shinny Birthday Parties
Do you have a birthday coming up? Consider making it a skating or shinny party! Birthday parties are available to be booked during our normally scheduled Public Skate and Youth Shinny opportunities. You can also book the Community Rooms at the arena to have cake and presents!
Interested? Take note of the information below and then give us a call at 613-386-7351 x200# to book your party today!
- All parties must be pre-booked through our Clerk over the phone
- Parties must be booked more than seven days in advance
- The party fee is the total drop-in fee for all party goers
- Parties during Public Skates are limited to 15 party goers
- Parties during Youth Shinny are limited to 12 party goers
- All fees MUST be paid at time of booking
- If you would like to book the ice for a private party, please contact us.

Community Outdoor Rink Program: As the season changes, we're thrilled to kick off the Community Outdoor Rink Program for 2024/2025! We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help maintain our local public skating rink.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteer to be part of our skate patrol team, help out with events and more!
Sponsorship Opportunities: Free public skating is an activity that is always gratefully appreciated by members of the community.
