Optional Service Line Warranty for Homeowners Through Service Line Warranties of Canada

Loyalist Township has an agreement with Service Line Warranties of Canada (SLWC), a provider of homeowner emergency repair programs, to provide optional and voluntary service plans to residents in Loyalist Township.

Residential property owners will soon receive mailings from SLWC about water service line and sewer/septic line coverage available to Loyalist homeowners. The first mailing will be mailed on June 3, 2022 with a follow up mailing on June 17, 2022.

Amherstview Sewage Plant Maintenance Activities & Odour

Please be advised that, due to the normal wastewater maintenance schedule that is done annually, the south aeration cell at the Amherstview Water Pollution Control Plant (sewage plant) is being emptied of sanitary sludge, cleaned, and inspected. The work is necessary to ensure that the sewage effluent (the treated liquid that flows out of the plant) continues to meet Ontario standards.

Loyalist Township Partners with Cataraqui Conservation on Tree Planting Initiative

Loyalist Township, in partnership with Cataraqui Conservation, will be planting approximately 7,700 seedlings as part of Forest Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program with additional support from the Highway of Heroes (HOH) planting initiative.
