Loyalist Township and The Town of Greater Napanee are partnering to develop a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan.

Community Safety and Well-Being planning is intended to bring community partners and residents together to think in new ways about local issues and potential solutions. Communities need to think proactively to help mitigate some of the risks we see evident in communities today.

The local data reviewed thus far has identified six community safety and well-being areas. These areas are:

  • Education: Ability to access post-secondary education
  • Safety: Improved safety within the local community
  • Economic: Ability to find meaningful employment within a reasonable commuting distance
  • Social: Access to available services
  • Health: Awareness of health risks and available supports
  • Environment: Understanding local environmental risks and available supports

We need your input

Take our CSWB Plan Survey to tell us what challenges, obstacles or gaps you've experienced or observed in addressing the above issues. We want to hear your thoughts and ideas on how to create solutions. If you'd like to participate in a future CSWB Working Group, please enter your email in the survey question inviting you.

The Survey closes December 31st, 2022.

A more in-depth consultation with our communities will follow this Survey in January 2023.

Purpose

This CSWB Plan will set out how partners across different sectors—from governments and school boards to health and social service providers— can work together to make our communities a place where all residents thrive. Efforts throughout Greater Napanee and Loyalist will focus on areas of risk that are most important to the residents of our communities.

We invite you to be part of the solution!
