Schools and Crossing Guards
Loyalist Township is part of the Limestone District School Board and the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. These two English-language school boards have six elementary schools and one secondary school within the Township boundaries.
Loyalist Township is also part of two French-language school boards. The separate board, Conseil des écoles Catholiques du Centre-Est has their office in Ottawa, as does the public board, Conseil des écoles publiques de l'Est de l'Ontario. The nearest French public and separate schools are in Kingston.

Crossing guards
We have eight crossing guards in Loyalist, near all the elementary schools. Our crossing guards undergo training every year. They can be easily identified by their flashing stop sign and orange coat or vest.
Impacts of construction and other information
Please visit our crossing guards page and our news and social media channels for current information, including temporary relocation of crosswalks during periods of construction.
