Green Infrastructure Partners Limited (GIP) has been contracted by Loyalist Township to complete milling and paving on various streets within Amherstview. The streets impacted by this work are listed below. The work is scheduled to commence May 27th and be completed by the fall of 2024. However, weather, and other unexpected delays may extend this timeline.

What Residents can expect:

The scope of work includes curb repairs to fix drainage issues, structure adjustments of both manholes and catch basins and cross fall correction of the road surface. GIP will be milling a portion of the existing asphalt road surface off, and then applying a Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) before laying a new coat of top asphalt.

To complete these various repairs driveways and yards will be impacted. GIP will reinstate all driveways and lawns as part of the construction work.

In some locations curb repairs are required in front of driveways. If curb work is required in front of your driveway a member of GIP will be in touch with your household directly prior to work commencing. Residents impacted by this work can expect to not have access to their driveway for a few days while the work is completed, but will have on street parking.

Stay tuned to the Township’s website and social media pages for updates on specific impact dates for your street.
