From May 1, 2023 to July 1, 2023, Loyalist Township will be seeking public input to determine community interest in a splash pad and what features/amenities are most important when considering potential locations for the development of a splash pad. 

The project team is eager to listen and learn from the community through survey results and public information sessions. Input from the public will be presented to Loyalist Township Council to help inform them of the next steps. 

Loyalist Township will be hosting a series of Public Information Sessions to hear from residents and answer questions. For the convenience of residents these sessions will be held over three weeks in Amherstview, Bath and Odessa. Township staff are eager to listen and learn from residents. 

  • Wednesday June 7, 6pm-8pm at Amherstview Community Hall 
  • Wednesday, June 14, 6pm-8pm at Bath Fire Hall 
  • Tuesday, June 20, 6pm-8pm at Odessa Municipal Office 

From May 1, 2023 to July 1, 2023, Loyalist Township will be conducting an online survey as part of our public engagement process. Take a few moments to have your say to help guide Council and Staff during this process. Input from the public will be presented to Loyalist Township Council to help make informed decisions. Residents requiring the survey in an alternative format are asked to use the Alternative Document Request Form, and Township staff will provide documents upon request in the most appropriate accessible format. Paper copies are available upon request at Township offices. 

"Public engagement is an important part of the discussion between residents and Council, and it gives all residents of Loyalist Township the opportunity to provide input as we continue to build our community”, stated Loyalist Township Mayor, Jim Hegadorn.  

 

“By engaging with the community on their interest in splash pads, we can ensure that plans align with the needs, wants and priorities of the community members who will be using them.  I encourage residents to join in the conversation, by completing our splash pad survey or by attending one of the planned public information sessions,” Hegadorn added.
