Effective Monday, March 25th the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre will be closed to the public until Tuesday, September 3rd to accommodate the start of construction for the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre Renewal project.
Recreation programming will still be available down the road at the Leisure & Activity Centre at 177 Upper Park Road, which will remain open to the public. Loyalist Township staff will relocate to other Township facilities to continue their work. Recreation programming inquiries can visit our website, call 613-386-7351 ext. 300.
The Amherstview Branch of Lennox and Addington Libraries will remain open to the public.
Residents seeking to purchase bag tags or dog tags are encouraged to complete payments online or visit another in-person location listed on the applicable webpages.
Community members interested in renting Township facilities and parks may contact bookings@loyalist.ca or 613-386-7351 ext. 200 to inquire about bookings.
With a refreshed and exciting new look with accessible upgrades, the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre will re-open its doors to the public on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. This new look includes renovations to the lobby, library meeting room, arena, canteen, multi-purpose rooms, and administration offices. The aquatic facility will remain under construction until end of year 2025. Community members can learn more about the project at www.loyalist.ca/wjrenewal.
On Saturday, March 23rd, during our Spring Egg Hunt, facility users and community members are welcome to join Township Council and staff for our wall breaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction, and to learn more about the project including opportunities to get involved!
Those wishing to participate in the Spring Egg Hunt are required to pre-register online. The cost is $5.00 per child, while spots last!
