Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board
The Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board is a joint detachment board between the four communities of Addington Highlands Township, Town of Greater Napanee, Loyalist Township, and Stone Mills Township.
As of April 1, 2024, the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 replaced the Police Services Act, 1990. The Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board was created under this Act.
What does the OPP Detachment Board do? |
As set out in the legislation, the Lennox and Addington County OPP Detachment Board’s role includes:
Along with its legislated duties, the OPP Detachment Board is considered a bridge between the community and police. The board provides a venue for the local municipalities to coordinate and collaborate on strategies to address common issues. |

Meeting Schedule, Agendas and Minutes |
The Board’s meeting schedule has yet to be determined. Once available, meeting agendas and minutes will be linked here. The Board will meet a minimum of four times per year, as required by the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019. |
