East Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board
Loyalist Township contract the Ontario Provincial Police for police protection within the community.
The East Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board is a joint detachment board between the four communities of Addington Highlands Township, Town of Greater Napanee, Loyalist Township, and Stone Mills Township.
As of April 1, 2024, the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 replaced the Police Services Act, 1990. The East Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment Board was created under this Act.

As set out in the legislation, the East Lennox and Addington County OPP Detachment Board’s role includes:
Along with its legislated duties, the OPP Detachment Board is considered a bridge between the community and police. The board provides a venue for the local municipalities to coordinate and collaborate on strategies to address common issues. |
