Please note that if you are applying for a park permit for the 2025 year you must submit your application by December 31, 2024. There are no deadlines for those operating on private property.

What is a Refreshment Vehicle? |
Refreshment vehicles can be ice cream trucks, hot dog stands, bicycle ice cream carts, or food trucks and they are regulated by By-law 2024-103. |
Where can I operate a Refreshment Vehicle? |
Refreshment vehicles can operate:
1) on private property zoned for that use with permission from the property owner; and |
When can I operate a Refreshment Vehicle? |
Hours of operation of a refreshment vehicle are between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. |
Do I need a licence before operating? |
Yes, refreshment vehicles must be licenced under By-law 2024-103. There are some exemptions. |
What is the cost of a licence and a park permit? |
The cost of a licence for 2025 is as follows: Class 1 and 2 Refreshment Vehicle Licence fee $350 Class 3 Refreshment Vehicle Licence fee $120 Class 1 and 2 Refreshment Vehicle Renewal fee $200 (must have had a valid 2024 licence) Class 3 Refreshment Renewal fee $75 (must have had a valid 2024 licence) If operating at a designated park, there is an additional Park Permit fee of: Park Permit with hydro $3000 Park Permit without hydro $1600 |

Yes, all licences expire on December 31 each year. |
