As of Wednesday, December 11, 2024 the school crosswalk in Odessa will move to its permanent location at the west corner of West Street, in front of the Pop-In Food Store at 55 Main Street. Please note that the crossing lights are not operational at this time as we are waiting on parts.
We have eight crossing guards in Loyalist, near all the elementary schools. Our crossing guards undergo training every year and can be easily identified by their flashing stop sign and hi-viz coat or vest.
Love your crossing guard? Nominate them for Canada's Favourite Crossing Guard Contest, a contest put on yearly by Parachute, a charity dedicated to injury prevention. Look for nominations to open for 2025.
