Residents of Loyalist Township are encouraged to take part in "Curbside Giveaway Days”.
Giveaway Days are a great opportunity to de-clutter and find a new home for any unwanted items while also picking up something you may want or need for free! Keep gently used items out of the landfills by allowing others to re-use or up-cycle them.
When are Giveaway Days?
Giveaway Days are scheduled several times throughout the year in Loyalist Township. Please refer to the Municipal Calendar for specific dates.
How to Participate
Setting items out
- Clearly label your items as FREE
- Place at the curb in front of your home by 7a.m. on the Giveaway Day
- Ensure any items that you do not want taken are kept away from the curb
- Unclaimed items must be removed by 5pm on the same day and remain your responsibility. Loyalist Township will NOT be collecting unclaimed items.
Picking up items
- Respect other people’s property – do not walk on people’s lawns or gardens
- Take only items that are marked ‘FREE’ and placed at the curb
- Do not leave previously picked-up items on the curb at other people’s property
