The ResiLienT Loyalist Township Climate Action Plan was introduced in 2021 as a roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and bolster community resilience to climate change impacts. Enrolled in the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program, Loyalist Township is dedicated to local action on climate change. The plan encompasses six priority sectors: Sustainable Land Use, Waste Reduction, Transportation, Buildings, Water & Waste Water, and Others. With the aim of providing an update on progress and initiatives, the Township is committed to keeping climate action as a priority for decisions.
