Arena Rental

Loyalist Township offers arena ice and floor rentals at the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre. The ice and floor surface is 200 feet by 85 feet and the facility includes seating for 1000 and a canteen.

Due to ongoing construction of the WJ Renewal Project, the arena floor will not be available to rent until spring 2026.

The arena floor can normally be booked for ball hockey, lacrosse, special events and more. Visit our Skating Schedule page to see the latest public skating schedules.

Booking the arena ice or floor

Please complete the Facility Rental Request Form if you are interested in booking a facility. For further information or to check availability, please contact Recreation & Facilities or call 613-386-7351 x 200.

The deadline for Fall/Winter ice requests is March 1.

Ice availability and rental fees

Ice is available to rent from September to March. Fees are outlined below and in the updated Miscellaneous Fees and Charges By-law 2024-53.

Prime time for the arena:

Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
